{about me}
Hello, my name is Rachelle Smith & I am a native of Arizona. I grew up in Mesa & graduated from Westwood High School. A few years after graduating I began going to school at MCC planning on getting a degree in Social Work. It was there that I met my sweetheart of almost 17 years. We got married in May of 1993 and very quickly started our family. I decided to put off going to school so I could be a full time stay @ home mom.
Currently I am a stay @ home working (& going to school) mom of 6 amazing kids (ages 17, 15, 13, 11, 9 & 7)! I have a great love for almost every kind of craft (scrapbooking, sewing, paper crafting, tole painting, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, bead making) there is. Photography has been something I have loved for many years and has become a great passion of mine. I absolutely love every part of photography. I love creating the shots, editing them, and especially seeing my client's faces when they receive their prints.
In addition to photography I am going to school, getting my degree in Digital Arts with an emphasis in Digital Photography. When I decided to go back to school in 2008, I knew I didn't want to continue with the social work degree and then a friend suggested that I do something more creative. I want to do something that I love and would be happy doing on a regular basis. So I switched my major.
I am also very involved in our church, in my children's schools, and I'm a soccer mom, 3 of my 6 children play soccer through the AYSO program & 2 of them play for their schools; I love watching & cheering for them (sometimes I get a little over zealous).
I also have recently started making handbags and other fun, handmade items. If you'd like to see what I've done you can visit My Etsy Shop and My Craft Blog! If you live locally in the Mesa, AZ area and would like to purchase any of these items, please contact me before ordering and we can work out a pick up time so you don't have to pay shipping.
